      Recognizing the importance of organizational change for firms` sustainable competitiveness and the lack of research on core self-evaluations, this study focuses on the relationships among core self evaluations, commitment to organizational change and behavioral support for organizational change. Investigating the relationship of core self-evaluations with commitment to organizational change and behavioral support for organizational change respectively, the study examines the mediating effect of the commitment to organizational change on the relationship between core self-evaluations and behavioral support for organizational change based on 216 survey data from employees working in 4 petrochemical firms in Ulsan Metropolitan City. The findings are as follows: first, the core self-evaluations was positively related to the commitment to organizational change and behavioral support for organizational change. Second, there was also a positive relationship between the commitment to organizational change and behavioral support for organizational change. Our empirical analysis also shows that commitment to organizational change partially mediated the relationship of core self-evaluations and behavioral support for organizational change. Based on these findings, the implications and future research issues are briefly discussed.
