금융위기 이후 미국의 금융감독체계 개편과 시사점

국문 초록 (Abstract)

지난 6월 17일 오바마 행정부가 발표한 금융규제 개혁안은 1930년대 이후 80년만의 금융시스템 전반에 대한 개편이라고 평가받고 있다. 이 개혁안은 전 세계적인 흐름인 금융규제의 강화와 목표 중심적인 금융감독 체계로의 개 편을 그 주된 내용으로 하고 있다. 특히, FRB의 금융안정 감독 기능의 강화 와 소비자 금융보호청(CFPA)의 설립은 가장 중요한 금융감독체계의 개선 내 용이다. 이러한 오마바 개혁안은 현재 한국에서 진행하고 있는 금융감독체계 의 개편에 많은 시사점을 주고 있다. 금융감독 체계의 개선을 위해서는 금융 감독 기관간의 이해관계를 배제하고 국제적인 흐름에 맞추어 일관적인 방향 으로 금융감독 체계를 개편하는 것이 필요함을 본 연구는 제시하고 있다.
