한국 상황에서의 사회적 기업의 개념과 유형에 관한 소고 = An Exploratory Study on the Concepts and Types of Social Enterprise in Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the article is to organize various concepts and types of social enterprise, and search the most suitable type of social enterprise in Korea. This comparative analysis divided social enterprise into three types; public assistance type(PAT), local friendly type(LFT), and market friendly type(MFT). PAT social enterprise is defined as religious, philanthropic organization forming protected market by government. LFT social enterprise is to produce and provide required goods and services in a community, and reinvest the gained profit to the community. MFT social enterprise is the organization which does not only pursue social value, but individual and organizational profit creation as well. Considering the fittingness based on the basic rules of social enterprise, we conclude that local friendly type(LFT) is the most suitable type of social enterprise in Korea.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 현재 다양하게 사용되는 사회적 기업의 개념과 유형을 정리하고 우리나라의 상황에 적합한 사회적 기업의 유형을 탐색적으로 고찰해 보는 것이다. 본고에서는 사회적 기업을 공공부조형(PAT), 지역사회친화형(LFT), 시장친화형(MFT) 사회적 기업으로 유형화하여 비교 분석하였다. 공공부조형 사회적 기업은 사회적 기업이 정부에 의해 보호된 시장을 형성하고, 종교적․박애주의적 성격을 갖는 조직으로 정의하는 것을 말한다. 지역사회친화형은 사회적 기업이 사회적 목적을 갖고 지역사회에서 필요로 하는 재화 및 서비스를 생산하여 지역사회에 제공하고 발생한 이익은 지역사회에 재투자하는 하는 것을 말한다. 시장친화형은 사회적 가치뿐만 아니라 개인 및 조직의 이윤창출에 주목적을 갖는 조직을 의미한다. 사회적 기업의 기본 원칙에 근거하여 사회적 기업으로서 적절성을 고려해 보면 지역사회친화형이 우리나라에서 가장 적절한 사회적 기업으로 평가된다.
