우리나라 성인의 진로발달과업에 대한 암묵지 탐색 = An Exploratory Study on Korean's Implicit Knowledge about Adult Career Developmental Tasks

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to explore Korean adults' career developmental tasks. 30 subjects participated in pilot study and 255 subjects participated in the main study. Through the pilot study, the important career developmental tasks were itemized for developmental stages. The questionnaire used in the main study were consisted in the items clarified in the pilot study. The items were arranged in the 5 point Likert-type questions and they included 154 career developmental tasks.
The results were as follows: 1) Implicit career developmental tasks were found through all adult developmental stages; 2) The areas of career developmental tasks were also different according to the age groups. Self-understanding, knowledge about work, basic occupational skill acquisition, academic achievement and decision making skills were more important at the earlier stages of career life. Specific occupational skills, job-seeking behaviors, occupational adjustment, general life skills, leisure, retirement, and volunteering activities were more important in the later stages of career life. Lastly, The meaning of major results and the suggestions for adult career development were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 우리나라의 일반 사람들이 가지고 있는 성인의 진로 발달 과업에 대한 암묵지를 탐구하였다. 이를 위해 30명의 남녀를 대상으로 성인의 발달 단계별로 중요한 진로발달과업이 무엇인지에 대한 자유 반응 조사를 실시하고, 154개의 항목을 선정하였다. 이 항목들을 5점 리커트 척도로 된 진로발달과업 설문지로 제작하여, 225명의 남녀 응답자들에게 제시된 항목들 각각에 대한 중요도를 표기하게 하였다. 154개 개별 목록들을 범주화하여 12개의 진로발달과업 영역으로 요약하였다. 연구 결과 진로발달의 과업은 성인기 전체에 존재하였고 연령대별로 차이가 있었다. 자기탐색, 직업세계의 이해, 직업기초능력개발, 학업수행의 영역은 20대 전반의 주요발달과업이었고, 20대 후반은 취직하고 직무를 수행하는 것이 중요한 과업이었다. 30대 이후로는 직무능력 개발, 구직활동, 직장적응, 일상생활, 여가생활 등을 중요발달과업이었다. 40대에는 가정과 건강이 중요한 과업이었고, 50대에는 퇴직 이후계획과 ‘제 2의 인생’을 고려하기 시작하였으며, 60대 이후에는 즐거움과 봉사 위주의 활동이 등장하였다. 우리나라 성인들의 진로발달과업을 우리나라 일반 사람들의 암묵지를 통해 정리한 본 연구의 결과는 성인을 위한 진로 정책이나 교육목표 및 활동 수립을 위한 기초자료로서 사용될 것이다.
