이상의 두 갈래 시적 영향 관계에 대한 소고(小考)(1) : 김수영의 경우 = A Study on the Characteristics Which Yi Sang and Kim Soo-young Share

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이상과 김수영은 시의 소재적 측면에서 볼 때, 일상을 적극적으로 시화했다는 점을 공유한다. 또한, 시의 형태적 측면에서도 거침없는 병렬적 진술을 공통적으로 시용했다. 그러나, 아마도 보다 근본적인 층위에서 양자의 영향관계를 찾으려면 이들이 공유하고 있는 문제의식을 들여다 보는 것이 좋을 것이다. 이상과 김수영은 서구적 근대와의 속도차를 예민하게 인지하고 그것을 같은 방향에서 따라잡을 것인지, 아니면 서구적 근대의 발전 경로와는 또 다른 진로를 택해야 하는지에 대해 고민했다.
시인으로서 이상은 문제를 직시하고 이를 수학적으로 환원하는 일에 우선 충실했다. 그런데, 김수영이 보기에 그것은 적극적 해법이 아니었다. 그에게 중요한 것은 ‘레알리떼가 비독창적인 것이 아니다’라는 원칙을 자신만의 시적 비전을 통해 이행하는 것이지 사태의 수학적 환원이 아니었다. 김수영은 후기시에서 구상적 작업을 택해 언어를 실재에 밀착시키고자 했다. 같은 문제의식을 공유하되, 이상이 택한 것은 문제를 정식화할 때까지 추상화하는 것이었다면 김수영이 택한 것은 실재의 구상적 재발견이었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Yi Sang and Kim Soo-young share some characteristics in writing poetry. First, they both believe that trivial daily life could provide good materials of modem poetry. So, various daily life scenes can be found in their poetry. Second, both of them frequently use juxtaposition and enumeration in their poetry. Though those two common characteristics are to be emphasized more, the most significant characteristic they share is not those things. We need to focus on their attitude toward advent modernity. They both gaze at the upcoming modernity in Korea and try to analyze the features of modernity to eventually overcome the unexpected maleffects of transplanted modernity.
Yi Sang aspired to see through the modern world as we see through the objects using X-rays. This longing to see through and to destruct the established world and rebuild it in a different way can be renamed as an allegorical impulse. Kim Soo-young also shows that vision of allegorical impulse. However, he progresses into another way. Kim Soo-young realize that the reality is not obsolete but it is original itself. So, he finally acknowledges that the reality could be recognized through one's own creative sensitivity. So, in later poems, he could express his vision of realty with more creativity and confidence.
Both Yi Sang and Kim Soo-young face the reality and analyze the upcoming modernity. They eventually suggest us with two ways of overcoming the maleffects of transplanted modernity.
