In local autonomy era the local government leadership is very important factor to regional development. This study is to analyze the relationship between the local government leadership and organizational effectiveness in North Gyeonggi-Do. The types of leadership has two categories; transformational and transactional leadership. The organizational effectiveness has two barometers; job satisfaction and organizational commitment.
Summaries of this study are followed; firstly, the local government leadership influences the job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Secondly, transformational leadership has more powerful influence to job satisfaction and organizational commitment than transactional leadership. Thirdly, the charisma factor of transformational leadership and rewards factor are significant to organizational effectiveness.
