미성취 영재의 특성과 지도방안 모색 = A Study on Characteristics of Gifted Underachievers and Search for Teaching Methods

국문 초록 (Abstract)

우리나라처럼 부존자원이 부족한 나라가 미래를 선도하기 위해서는 우수한 인재를 육성하는 것이 중요하다. 그런 의미에서 미성취 영재의 특성을 분석하고 지도방안을 모색하는 것은 개인뿐만 아니라 국가를 위해서도 바람직하다. 미성취 영재는 영재들 중에서 자신의 능력에 비해 결과가 저조한 아동으로 학교나 사회에 부적응 반응을 보이며, 낮은 자존감, 낮은 사회성, 회피행동, 학습장애, 비동시성 등으로 나타나기 때문에 미성취를 극복하기 위한 지도방안이 필요한 시점이다.선진국들은 미성취 영재들이 자신에게 나타나는 개별적인 문제를 극복하고 사회에서 활발하게 활동할 수 있도록 국가적인 차원에서 관심을 갖고 있지만, 우리는 아직 미성취에 대한 교육환경과 연구가 미흡한 실정이다. 이에 본문에서는 미성취 영재의 특성과 문제점을 살펴보고 미성취를 극복할 수 있는 지도방법을 선행연구와 저자의 미술교육 경험을 토대로 모색해 보았다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Gifted students should be supported to take the lead of the future in Korea that is short of natural resources. Therefore, not only investigation of characteristics of gifted underachievers but also teaching methods are
needed to develop individuals as well as the nation. Some of the gifted underachievers have poorer results considering their own ability not to adapt them to either schools or the society, and to have low self-esteem, low sociality, avoidance behavior, learning disorder and uncontemporary, etc: So, teaching methods are needed to overcome underachieving. Advanced countries are interested in gifted underachievers at society level to let them overcome their own problems by themselves and to work actively in the society: However, Korea is still short of educational environment and studies on the underachieving. This study examined characteristics and problems of gifted underachievers and teaching methods of overcoming of underachieving based on precedent researches and the author's art education experience.
