한국전쟁기의 순문예지 『신문학』 연구 -시를 중심으로 = A Study on the Literary Magazine New Literature in the period of Korean War: Focused on Poems

This paper found out the New Literature as the first literary magazine among the Korean War and clarified both the publishing background and whole aspects. New Literature was a coterie literary magazine of New Literature group for Honam. But, it had the aspect of literary magazine since writers from all over the country participated in. That magazine excluded other purposes. Thus, it was possible because of only pursuing the literature. Actually, it`s a point which is very important in the history of literature, to provide the space of literature which is free from ideology. The editor-in-chief of New Literature was Kim, Hyun-seung, and Lim, Jeong-hee, the widow of the late Park, Yong-cheol, supported the finance. So, four volumes then issued. This paper classified and arranged the jobs of writers as well as writers and works. There are 32 poems, 14 novels, 12 essays, 2 dramas and 4 criticism in that magazine, what is more, the works extended over many genres, translations and reminiscences of the foreign work, and etc. They were all very active for the only purpose of pure literature. Therefore, we can say that New Literature as literary magazine filled the blank of our literary history during the period of Korean War. But, it can do much for the cause of filling the blank of not only the Jeonnam literature history, but also the Korean modern literature history. Thus, the period of the Korean War is no longer the hiatus of our literature history. It was the period of showing the most confidential basis of the human. As a result, New Literaturemade it possible.
