The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of the career decision-making and the career preparation behaviors on the grade performance level of the korean adult college students. This study also examines what is the difference between the career decision level and the career preparation behaviors according to the age, sex, and the economic wealth level(i.e. monthly income). To gather this information, a total of 1,727 college students of Korea National Open University were administered Career Decision- Making Level, Career Preparation Questionnaire and The Grade Score of prior semester. The results are as follows: First, the age was positive correlations with career decision-making level, but negative correlation with career preparation behaviors. The female college students' career decision-making level was lower than the male college students', but the female college students did more career preparation behaviors than the male college students. The economic wealth level had positive correlation with the career decision-making level, but negative correlation with the career behaviors. Accordingly, the results of this study suggest that the counselors should consider the individual traits including age, sex and the economic wealth level to provide career counseling and to develop career counseling program. Second, educational attainment has significant correlation with both the career decision-making level and the career preparation behaviors. Third, according to the regression analysis, the career preparation behaviors is higher correlation with the grade performance than career decision-making level. Therefore, in order to enhance educational attainment and learning motivate of adult college students, this study suggests that the effective methods to promote the career decision-making level and the career preparation behaviors should be considered.
