    The purpose of this study was to examine the appropriateness of the concept of "multiplayer" as a career development model in the lifelong learning society. "Within-area multiplayer" and "between-area multiplayer" were defined. Changing nature of work were reviewed in terms of external and internal factors of work, the contents of work, and the abilities required.Career resilience was introduced as a new career development model, and its common features with multiplayer were discussed. Self resilience is characterized by the followings: self-aware, value-driven, dedicated to continuous learining, future focused, connected, and flexible.As conclusion, five suggestions were made for career education and career guidance services.
