대학입학사정관제도의 현황과 발전 방안 = The Possibilities and Limitations of Admission Officers in College Entrance Examination of Korean Universities

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to investigate the present situations and views of reference groups on a new university admission system introduced in 2007. The items of questionnaire were composed of qualification requirement and a position of Admission Officer, a role of Admission Officer, induce settlement of a new admission system in university and so on. Survey was performed by mailing method. The response rate was 72.5%, and 58 questionnaires by Admission Officers were analyzed. The data was analyzed with SPSS/PC+ program. Frequency and percentage analysis were used. Based on the results of this study, the suggestions to improve for a new university admission system were proposed as the follows. First, status of admission officers should be full-time positions with clear role identity. Second, admission officer should develop their professions with the whole cycle of admission not just be involved in management. Third, the admission policy by admission officers should be added to foster public education. They need to take the all admission types for making best choice with qualitative comprehensive judgment. Fourth, the service training systems should be held by the admission officers to ensure their stable position as CTL(Center for Teaching and Learning) took training of university personnel. Fifth, to foster public education, admission officers need to develop unique selection criteria of individual college, along with minimum common factor of needs for all universities throughout the nation.
