은퇴한 배우자를 둔 중고령 여성의 생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구 = Factors Affecting life Satisfaction among Wives of Retired Husbands

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study are intended to investigate the extent of life satisfaction of wives of retired husbands and to explore factors associated with their life satisfaction after retirement of their spouse. A survey was conducted with 153 women aged 50 and over who are living in Seoul and Kyunggi provinces. Snowball sampling method was used to collect data and data were analysed by t-test, one-way ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression methods. The major results were as follows: 1) The mean of wives’ life satisfaction is 2.29 on a 3-point scale, and their life satisfaction level is shown to be good in general, 2) The life satisfaction is closely related with optimistic personality, wives’ subjective health status, length of retirement, types of husbands’ retirement, wives’ subjective economic status, existence and nonexistence of planing for retirement, social gathering, and time spending with retired husband. The implications of social work intervention for wives’ of retired husbands were suggested in several ways and suggestions for future research were provided.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 은퇴한 배우자를 둔 중고령 여성들을 대상으로 그들의 생활만족도 수준을 알아보고, 생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 파악하여 이들에 대한 사회복지적 개입을 위한 함의를 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 연구대상은 서울․경기 지역에 거주하는 50세 이상 중고령 여성들이며, 눈덩이 표집을 통해 총 153명의 표본이 수집되었다. 연구결과 은퇴한 배우자를 둔 중고령 여성의 생활만족도는 3점 만점에 평균 2.29점으로 비교적 높은 것으로 나타났다. 조사대상자의 생활만족도에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 중고령 여성의 성격적 특성인 낙관성의 정도, 주관적 건강상태, 배우자의 은퇴기간, 배우자의 은퇴형태, 주관적 경제상태, 은퇴계획 유무, 모임활동 유무, 배우자와 함께 있는 시간 등인 것으로 나타났다. 이에 본 연구의 결과를 기반으로 은퇴한 배우자를 둔 중고령 여성을 대상으로 한 사회복지적 관심의 필요성과 사회복지실천적 개입 방안을 제시하였다.
