The purpose of this study are to examine the types and the activities of after-school life from low-income family 90 children and to find family support and school life adjustment level of children in poverty, and what influence on school life adjustment.
The results are as follows. First, the percentage of parent-care among children in poverty is lower than middle-income families Second, the level of family support and school life adjustment of children in poverty appear to be higher than mean score Third, the results of hierarchical regression analysis tell us that sex, having a religion and family support are significant variables which influence on school life adjustment of the poor children.
This study provide valuable knowledge about after-school life, family support and school life adjustment of the children in poverty. And this study discuss the direction of future research and implication for supporting after-school life of the poor children and strengthening family support and school life adjustment of children in poverty.
