감성과 인문치료의 언어, 은유

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 은유가 감성과 인문치료에 적합한 언어임을 살피고, 관용표현이 한국인의 감성을 연구하는 데 중요한 연구대상임을 논의한 것이다.
은유가 감성언어로 적합한 것은 은유의 다의성에서 비롯된 유연성과 은유의 구조가 자기체험의 확장과 유사성을 지녔기 때문이다. 비유적 언어인 은유는 함축적 의미의 언어이고 다의성에 의해 유연성을 지닌다. 은유구조는 ‘자기화’라는 측면에서 자기체험 확장 능력의 감성과 유사성을 지닌다.
또한 은유가 인문치료 언어로 가능한 것은 은유의 개념이 언어표현인 은유를 넘어선 개념적 은유를 포괄하는 개념이라는 점과 은유의 다의성과 은유구조에서 오는 간접성 때문이다.
인지언어학에서의 은유의 개념은 언어표현으로서의 은유뿐만 아니라, 은유적 사고인 개념은유까지 포함한 개념이다. 은유적 언어표현은 시, 소설, 신화, 전설, 민요 등의 구비문학 등 다양한 장르에서 많이 활용되고 있어서 인문치료에서 은유치료가 지니는 특성이다. 또한 은유의 간접성은 내담자에게 안정감을 주어 자신의 문제를 관조하게 하고, 그 과정에서 내담자 스스로 문제의 해결을 모색하게 한다. 은유의 간접성은 은유의 근원영역과 목표영역의 구조와 다의성에서 비롯된다. 또한 은유가 지닌 관용성이라는 보편성을 통해 한국인의 감성에 접근할 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to find out two things. First, metaphor is a proper language for humanities therapy. Second, idiomatic expressions are useful and important study subjects for its research of Korean emotion. The reason why metaphor is proper for emotional language is very simple. Metaphor keeps various meanings according to its interpreters. And metaphor has similarities in the area of individual experiences. As a figurative language, a metaphor is conceptional and flexible one. Metaphorical structure keeps the emotional ability to enlarge self-expressions and similarities in 'self-conversion'. Metaphor is indirect expression so its requesters can express any topics according to their experiences and thoughts. Thus, we can say that metaphorical concept is beyond or more than simple language expression. Because it includes conceptional metaphor and it keeps various meanings depending on the interpreters.
In recognitive linguistics, the concept of metaphor includes language and thought expressions. The metaphorical language expressions are used in poem, novel, myth, legend, falk songs and so on. So we can easily adopt humanities therapy to these various genres. Metaphor is an indirect language expression so requesters feel safe to translate a metaphor through their self- experiences indirectly. During their expression of the metaphor they can find out self inner problems and scars ,and then try to find the solution how to handle theirs for themselves. The function of indirect expressions in metaphor is based on the structure of fundamental area, target area and its character of various expressions. To use the metaphorical usage we can research Korean emotions.
