자기결정기술을 삽입한 체육과 게임활동이 학습부진아의 자기결정능력에 미치는 효과 = Effect of a Physical Education Game to Self-Determination Ability of Underachievers

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examined the effect of a physical education game, created on the basis of self-determination skill, to underachievers. Forty two underachievers participated in this study, all of whom were fifth graders in six different classes of C elementary school in Incheon. The participants were divided into two groups: One is the experimental group and the other is the control group. Twenty one students in three different classes participated in each group. The number of games in the fifth-year physical education reaches eleven, mainly developed from sports such as soccer, basketball and hockey. The control group participants were taught following the fifth-year physical education syllabus. In addition to the formal syllabus, choice-making, goal setting, and self-evaluation were inserted for the experimental group participants. According to the findings of the study, self-determination ability of the experimental group participants showed a significant improvement. Sub-factors of self-determination such as autonomy, self-adjustment, psychological ability, and self-realization improved meaningfully. The findings also demonstrated that choice-making, goal setting and modification, and the evaluation process have a positive influence on the self-determination ability of the experimental group participants. The present study is also significant in that subject-matter class in the inclusive environment contributed to the self-determination of underachievers.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 자기결정기술을 삽입한 체육과 게임활동이 학습부진아의 자기결정능력에 미치는 효과를 검증하였다. 연구대상은 인천시 C초등학교 5학년 6개 학급에 속해있는 학습부진아 42명이다. 이들은 실험집단 3개 학급과 비교집단 3개 학급에 21명씩 속해있다. 5학년 체육과 교육과정의 게임활동은 축구형, 농구형, 하키형 게임으로 총 11차시이다. 실험집단에는 이 게임활동에 선택하기, 목표설정하기, 자기평가하기 등의 자기결정기술을 삽입하여 실시하였고, 비교집단은 교육과정에 제시된 대로 게임활동 수업을 하였다. 체육수업은 연구대상인 학습부진아를 포함하여 학급의 모든 학생을 대상으로 이루어졌다. 연구 결과, 자기결정기술을 삽입한 체육과 게임활동을 실시한 실험집단이 비교집단보다 자기결정능력이 유의한 수준으로 증가하였다. 자기결정능력의 하위영역인 자율성, 자기조정, 심리적 역량, 자아실현 역시 유의한 수준으로 증가하였다. 이러한 연구결과는 자기결정기술을 삽입한 체육과 게임활동을 통해 아동 스스로 선택하고, 목표를 설정하고 수정하며, 결과를 평가하는 과정이 학습부진아의 자기결정능력에 긍정적인 영향을 주고 있음을 보여준다. 이는 통합 환경에서 교과수업을 통해 학습부진아의 자기결정능력 향상에 기여하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
