      The key activity of teachers is a teaching activity among various roles. A number of research related to ``teaching competencies`` have been performed for exploring effective teaching performance. Teaching competencies mean what teachers take to perform teaching successfully. The subject of this study was 78 seniors in A national university of education, their self-examinations on teaching competencies was taken and the plans to enhance teaching competencies in terms of pre-teachers` perceptions were investigated. They reported that they could perform most of teaching competencies at the average level and above, expecially teaching competencies belonging to categories of psychological characteristics and guidance. On the other hand, they estimated the teaching competencies related to ``evaluation`` deficient respectively. And female pre-teachers estimated their teaching competencies belonging to category of psychological characteristics higher than male pre-teachers. The plans to enhance teaching competencies that pre-teachers` reported were categorized into reconstruction of the curriculum, advancement of lectures operation, and improvement of the teaching practicum programs.
