The purpose of this study was to explore the effects of cognitive-behavioral group therapy on public self-consciousness, Interpersonal anxiety and fear of negative evaluation of social phobia- prone college students. Participants joined in this study were those who scored 91 or more of Social Avoidance and Anxiety Scale among 580 college students, and they were randomly assigned in cognitive-behavioral therapy group and in the waiting list control group. This study examined the factors in focus the fear of negative evaluation which is the core mark of Public Self-consciousness, Interpersonal Anxiety. Cognitive-behavioral therapy group consisted of all 8 sessions. After the therapy program, the data of 7 who attended to the end included in analysis. The main results were as follows: Public self-consciousness, the fear of negative evaluation which is the core mark of social anxiety, and interpersonal anxiety of the cognitive-behavioral group were significantly decreased after therapy. At 1 month follow-up, the therapeutic effects were still lasted. Finally, the limitations and the suggestions of this study were discussed.
