This study inspected an intervention program addressing problems girls experience with school violence. At first, a social worker intervened in the sample population with a group program designed to improve their self-esteem, but later a social-welfare service with a marathon group program was provided to the subjects. After taking the first program, the students improved their self-esteem more than a control group. After participating in the marathon program, they had far higher self-esteem scores than those of the control group. Therefore, this study confirmed a positive change by using a continuous intervention group program rather than the temporary intervention of a social worker.
