탈냉전 이후 안보환경의 변화에 따른 신세대 안보인식의 특성 = The Properties of New Generation's Cognition of National Security Due to the Change of Security Environment in the Post-Cold War Era

The environment of security has been changed rapidly after the beginning of post-cold war era, therefore the concept of national security has been changed and enlarged. By the way, in the Korean peninsula, we are faced with the dual structure that is composed of cold-war logics and post-cold war logics.
In this context, people's sense of security depends on the cognition of security conditions that we have faced with. This study analyzes the new generation's cognition of national security due to the change of security environment on the Korean peninsula. In this respect, this study has surveyed about three variables related national security: (1) security condition factors based on cold-war logics, (2) security condition factors based on post-cold war logics, (3) national security consciousness. The findings are as follows: (1) The sense of security based on cold-war logics is weaker than before, (2) They have flexible and realistic cognition of security in the transition stage of security paradigm, (3) But they don't have mature sense of security suitable for new security conditions.
Therefore it is needed to prepare establishing scheme of mature sense of security for new generations. This study has suggested several directions as follows: (1) forming common sense of national security through the open discussion, (2) raising the cognition of northeast Asia security environments. (3) linking security education to unification education, (4) opening informations that are connected with national security, (5) improving methods that inspire the sense of security.
