자유역할놀이에서 나타난 어머니-유아 상호작용 = A Study of Mother-Child Interaction in a Free Play Setting

This study was conducted in order to investigate play process, play content, play behavior and communication strategies between the mother and the child in a free play situation. 65 pairs of mother-child dyad participated in this study. The participants played with supermarket play sets for 15 minutes. The whole play sessions were videotaped by trained observers. The results of the study were as follows. First, the mothers and children in this study spent most of their play time exploring the materials provided. Second, the mothers and children in this study played with bar-code most of the time. Third, participants in this study took actor's role during their play session. Fourth, communication strategy of asking for information was mostly used by mothers, while communication strategy of providing information was mostly used by children. Few suggestions for parent education were made based on the results of this study.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 어머니와 유아간 자유역할놀이에서의 놀이과정과 내용, 놀이 행동 및 의사소통 전략을 살펴보고자 하는 목적으로 실시되었다. 연구의 대상은 만 345세 유아와 그의 어머니 65쌍이었으며, 수퍼마켓 놀이감을 가지고 어머니와 유아가 상호작용을 하는 것을 관찰하여 어머니-유아 상호작용 특성을 조사하였다. 연구 결과, 놀이 과정에서는 놀이감 탐색이, 놀이 내용으로는 바코드 찍기 활동이 가장 많이 나타났다. 또한 어머니와 유아 모두 연기자형 중 대화위주의 연기를 많이 하였고, 의사소통 전략에서는 어머니는 정보요청하기를, 유아는 정보 제공하기를 많이 하였다. 유아와 어머니 의사소통 전략간의 관계를 보면 어머니가 전략을 먼저 사용할 경우 어머니가 정보를 요청할 때 유아는 정보를 제공하는 전략을 가장 많이 사용하였고, 유아가 전략을 먼저 사용할 경우 유아가 정보를 제공하였을 때 어머니는 정보를 요청하는 전략을 가장 많이 사용하였다. 연구 결과에 따른 시사점과 제언이 함께 제시되었다
