미성취 영재 교육 프로그램이 학업성취, 학습태도, 학습습관에 미치는 효과 = The Effects of an Intervention Program on Gifted Underachievers

국문 초록 (Abstract)

현재 미국에서 시행되고 있는 미성취 영재 프로그램 및 관련 문헌자료를 토대로 우리나라 미성취 영재의 특성에 맞고, 현 우리나라 학교에서 실시 가능한 프로그램을 개발하고 그 프로그램의 효과를 검증하였다. 미성취 영재 프로그램은 주1회 70분씩 총 20차시로 구성되고, 크게, 참여단계, 작업단계, 심화단계, 종결단계로 나누어지며, 매 단계가 시작할 때에는 학생-교사-부모 협의회를 개최하였다. 4개 초등학교의 미성취 영재 30명을 실험집단으로 하고, 또 다른 4개 초등학교의 미성취 영재 31명을 통제집단으로 하여 개발한 프로그램을 실시하고 그 효과를 다층분석의 성장모형을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과 미성취 영재를 위한 개입전략 프로그램은 미성취 영재의 성적을 향상시키고, 학습태도와 학습습관을 긍정적으로 변화시키는데 효과적이었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was to develop an intervantion program of gifted underachievers at primary school and examine the effect of the program.
An intervention program was devised based on research on the related literature, and programs for gifted underachievers currently employed in America. This program has been applied to 30 gifted underachievers at 4 primary schools and 31 at another 4 primary schools, and was proved to be practicable at primary schools in Korea from this preliminary experience.
For statistical analysis a commercially available software (SPSS version 12.0) was used. Multi-level analysis using the growth model was done to analyze efficacy of the intervention program.
The effect of the intervention program has been examined.
Firstly, there was significant improvement in academic achievement as a result of the program.
Secondly, gifted underachievers in this study showed optimistic changes in learning habit and attitude as a result of the program.
