에릭슨의 심리사회 발달 수준과 부부관계 적응 = Relationship between Individual Psychosocial Development and Marital Adjustment

This study explored the releaionship between individual psychosocial development and marital adjustment. 298 adults participated in this study and they completed three instruments to measure his or her psychosocial development(Measures of Psychosocial Development, Hawley, 1988), marital adjustment(Marital Adjustment Test, Wallace, 1959), and marital status(Marital Status Inventory, Weiss-Cerreto, 1980). Data were analysed using correlation analysis and Mann-Whiteney analysis. The results of this study indicated individual general psychosocial development was related to marital adjustment and marital stability. Among 8 psychosocial development stages, 3, 5, 6 stages were positively related to marital adjustment and state 7 was negatively related to marital stability. Based on the results of this study, implication and limitation of the study were discussed.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 에릭슨이 제시한 심리사회발달과 부부관계 적응 간의 관계를 경험적으로 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위해 298명의 기혼 성인을 대상으로 심리사회발달수준, 부부관계적응 수준, 부부관계 불안정성 수준을 측정하였다. 수집된 자료에 대하여 먼저 전반적인 심리사회발달 수준, 부부관계의 적응, 불안정성 간의 상관분석을 실시하였다. 둘째, 심리사회발달의 각 단계의 발달 여부에 따라 자원집단과 과제집단으로 구분하여 각 단계의 자원집단과 과제집단이 부부관계 적응수준과 위기수준에서 차이를 보이는지를 확인하기 위해 두 집단 간 비모수 차이검증 검증을 실시하였다. 연구결과 개인의 전반적 심리사회발달 수준은 부부관계 적응 수준과 정적인 상관을 보였으며, 부부관계 불안정성 수준과는 부적 상관을 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 심리사회발달의 단계에서 자원집단과 과제집단의 부부관계 적응 및 불안정성 수준 차이를 살펴보았을 때, 3단계, 5단계, 6단계가 부부관계 적응 수준에서 유의한 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났으며, 7단계는 부부관계 불안정성 수준에서 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과에 기초하여 개인의 심리사회발달과 부부관계 적응 수준과 불안정성 수준과의 관계를 논의하였다.
