한국 부부의 결혼만족에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Factors of Korean Couples' Marital Satisfaction

The purpose of this study is to examines what kind of variations generally affect a couples' marital satisfaction and confirms which factors are the main effect on Korean couples' satisfaction. For this study, the researcher confirms the main factors for Korean couples' marital satisfaction through investigating in three ways. First, 70 variations to marital satisfaction have been confirmed by frequency analysis reference of 202 papers : twelve dissertations, 135 thesis, and 55 academic thesis which have been published in Korea since 1970. Second, to determine the importance of variations which affect on Korean couples' marital satisfaction, reorganized questionnaires of the variations from frequency analysis have been evaluated through 71 family and couple therapists within the clinical field. From the variations evaluated, 7 main factors have been confirmed and classified by factor analysis. Finally, according to the results of factor analysis, 6 main factors which affect on Korean couples' marital satisfaction have been selected with the consultation of five professionals in counseling. The six factors are as follows : communication, relationship with spouse's family of origin, couples' sex life, ways to solve difficulties and conflicts, anger and stress management, sharing of gender roles and child-rearing. We can see through this research that the factors to marital satisfaction are crucial(fundamental and concrete) in forming an intimate relationship for Korean married couples. The concluded factors are satisfying to present age demands of the current generation, and appropriate to Korea culture, and applied objectively into practice. It can be offered as the basic data to organize education programs for improvement in Korean couples' marital satisfaction.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 일반적으로 결혼한 부부의 결혼만족에 영향을 미치는 변인들이 무엇인지 확인하고, 어떠한 요인들이 우리나라 부부의 결혼만족에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 연구자는 다음과 같은 세 단계 과정을 거쳐서 한국 부부의 결혼만족에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인들을 확인하였다. 첫째, 결혼만족과 관련하여 1970년～현재까지 국내에서 발표된 박사논문 12편, 석사논문 143편, 학술지논문 55편 등 총 210편의 연구논문을 빈도 분석하여, 결혼만족에 주요하게 영향을 미치는 것으로서 70개의 변인을 확인하였다. 둘째, 빈도분석 된 결혼만족에 영향을 미치는 변인을 재구성한 설문지를 통하여 실제 임상 현장에 있는 부부 및 가족 상담전문가 71명의 견해를 조사하여 중요도를 평가하였다. 이들이 평가한 변인들은 요인분석 결과 7개의 요인으로 축약ㆍ구분 되었다. 마지막으로, 요인분석으로 나타난 결과를 가지고 5인의 전문학자의 자문을 통하여 최종적으로 우리나라 부부의 결혼만족에 중요하게 영향을 미치는 것으로 평가되는 요인을 6가지로 결정하였다. 6개의 요인은 다음과 같다 : 의사소통, 갈등해결 방법, 분노 및 스트레스 조절, 부부의 성(性), 원 가족과의 관계, 역할분담 및 자녀양육 등이다. 이와 같이 본 연구를 통해 분석하고 결정된 결혼만족에 영향을 미치는 요인들은 우리나라 부부들의 친밀한 관계형성에 가장 기본적이며 구체적인 것으로 볼 수 있다. 이러한 요인들은 현 시대의 요청에도 부응하며 우리 문화에도 적절하고 객관성 있게 적용될 수 있는 요인들로서 실제로 우리나라 부부들을 대상으로 결혼만족을 향상시킬 수 있는 교육프로그램을 구성하는데 기초 자료로 제공될 수 있을 것이다.
