내담자의 저항과 상담자­내담자간 언어적 상호작용 = Relationship between the Client Resistance and Counseling Interaction

The purpose of this study was to clarify relationship between the client resistance and counseling interaction. The subjects of the present study was 2 counseling cases. The degree of the client resistance was selected by Client Resistance Rating Scale. The counselor and client's verbal responses were unitized and coded by using Hill's Counselor Client Verbal Response Category System(1981). The procedure of analysis was as follows: First each cases were explored the change patterns of client resistance. Second, at the high level of client resistance session and the low level of client resistance session, the counselor and client verbal response patterns were analyzed. The result of each case were as follows, Case 1: the change patterns of client resistance had relation with counselor reflection-client experiencing. Case 2: the change patterns of client resistance had relation with counselor open question-client experiencing, client experiencing-counselor open question, client insight-counselor open question, client simple response-counselor interpretation.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 내담자의 저항의 변화와 관련된 상담자와 내담자의 언어적 상호작용을 알아보고자 하였다. 연구 절차는 첫째, 두 개의 상담사례에서 내담자 저항평정도구를 사용하여 내담자의 저항의 변화를 시계열적으로 분석하였다. 둘째, 상담자와 내담자의 언어반응척도를 사용하여 내담자의 저항이 증가한 상담시간과 감소한 상담시간의 상담자와 내담자의 언어반응을 평정하였다. 사례 1에서 나타난 내담자의 저항은 상담이 초기에서 중기로 진행되면서 전반적으로 증가하였고, 특히 제11회 상담시간에서 정점을 이루었다. 그러나 내담자의 저항은 상담종결에 가까울수록 점점 감소하는 추세를 보였다. 사례 1에서는 상담자의 반영과 내담자의 경험반응(1RF-2EX) 상호작용 유형이 모든 상담단계에서 내담자의 저항의 변화와 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 사례 2에서는 사례 1과는 달리, 내담자의 저항이 전반적으로 높게 나타났다. 내담자의 저항은 제12회 상담시간에서 뿐만 아니라 제17회, 제18회 상담시간에서도 높게 나타났다. 사례 2에서는 상담자의 개방질문과 내담자의 경험반응(1OQ-2EX), 내담자의 경험반응과 상담자의 개방질문(2EX-1OQ), 내담자의 통찰반응과 상담자의 개방질문(2IS-1OQ), 내담자의 단순반응과 상담자의 해석반응(2SR-1IT) 상호작용 유형이 모든 상담단계에서 내담자의 저항의 변화와 관련이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 마지막으로 본 연구점의 한계점과 시사점에 대하여 논의하였다.
