부모의 양육태도에 따른 청소년의 직업가치 추구 = The Relation of Parents' Support and

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 부모들의 ‘자율적’ 혹은 ‘통제적’ 양육태도가 우리나라 청소년들의 직업가치 추구에 있어 어떤 영향을 미치는지 검증해 보는 것이다. 가치추구에 관한 자기결정성이론에 따르면, 청소년의 자율성을 지지하고, 통제적이지 않은 부모의 양육태도가 청소년의 내적 가치 추구행동에 영향을 미치는 것으로 알려져 있다. 이를 검증하기 위해 이 연구에서는 2005년 한국청소년패널조사(Korea Youth Panel Survey) 자료 중, 고등학교 1학년에 재학 중인 3,125명의 청소년들을 대상으로 한 설문지를 분석하였다. 분석 결과, 외적 가치를 추구하는 청소년들은 내적 가치를 추구하는 청소년들에 비해 부모의 지지는 덜 받고, 통제는 더 받고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 이러한 연구결과가 우리나라 청소년들의 직업가치 추구에 대해 시사하는 바를 논의하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to explore the relation of parents' autonomy support versus control to adolescents' intrinsic value pursuing in their career choices. According to self-determination theory of value, autonomy supportive parents orient their children toward intrinsic values and controlling parernts' children tend to pursue the extrinsic values. The 2005 KYPS(Korea Youth Panel Survey) data of 3,125 high school juniors was analysed for this study. The results showed Korean high school juniors were highly oriented toward extrinsic values than intrinsic values, And students perceived their parents as relatively low in autonomy support and high in control. Intrinsic value pursuing students perceived their parents as supportive and extrinsic value pursuing students perceived their parents as controlling. Lastly discussion is focused on the meaning of these findings and the suggestions for the further studies.
