어린이집에서 친구 사귀기를 통해 본 탈북 유아의 남한사회 적응생활 = A Study on a North Korean Refugee child's life and adaptation through making the best friend at South Korean educare center

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study describes the process of making friends of a North Korean Refugee child at South Korean childcare center. Making friends is an important way for a new comer to adapt to an unfamiliar society. The participant observation of the child's daily life in the classroom and in-depth interview with her parents and teachers were conducted. The result from this study indicates that a North Korean Refugee child(Jeung-eun) made all-out efforts on changing her language patterns like her peers to make friends. Then, she became best friends with a girl whose name is Sun-ah.They constructed unique friendships. They developed strong bonds in two dimensions. One is an emotional dimension which they exchange their sensitive affection. The other is a mutual dimension which they try to be fair toward their power.The meaning of a North Korean Refugee child's experience of friendships may contribute to help her to get stable social relationships and integrate her identity further her life at South Korea.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 탈북 유아의 중요한 생활공간인 어린이집에서 남한 친구를 사귀어가는 과정을 통해 남한 사회의 적응의 한 단면을 보고자 한다. 더불어 탈북 어린이에게 일어난 우정의 경험적 현상을 자아 통합감의 발달과정으로 이해하고자 한다. 이를 위해 질적 연구방법인 참여관찰과 심층면담을 활용하였다. 연구 결과, 탈북 유아는 자신의 말투, 억양, 표현양식을 남한 친구들의 말과 비슷하게 하게 되면서 친구를 사귀게 된다. 따라서 언어의 변화는 친구들 사이에 적응하는데 중요한 출발선이 된다. 탈북 유아는 여러 아이들과의 또래관계보다는 한 친구와의 우정관계에 더 밀착된 적응을 한다. 이 우정관계는 친구와 민감한 정서를 교류하는 정서적 수준과 힘의 균형을 갖추는 상호관계적 수준으로 이루어진다. 마지막으로 탈북 유아의 남한 친구와 지속되는 우정은 소속감의 최소단위이며 안정된 사회적 관계이다. 이러한 우정의 경험은 낯선 사회에서 적응해야 하는 탈북 유아에게 통합된 자아정체성을 구성할 가능성을 제공한다.
