도덕적 자아의 보편성과 사회문화적 맥락성

국문 초록 (Abstract)

‘도덕적 자아’ 또는 ‘도덕적 정체성’에 대한 연구는 도덕적 행동과 도덕적 행위자에 대해 포괄적으로 접근함으로써 도덕성의 통합적 접근에 중요한 시사점을 주고 있다. 도덕적 자아 또는 도덕적 정체성은 도덕적 이해와 도덕적 행동의 가교 역할을 하는 매우 중요한 개념이다. 하지만, 도덕적 정체성의 주관성은 도덕적 자아 개념의 의미와 유용성에 의문을 제기한다. 본 연구는 도덕적 자아의 실천적 의미를 고찰하고 도덕적 자아 형성의 원리를 제안하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 따라서, 본 연구는 도덕적 통합의 진정한 의미에 주목하고, 도덕적 자아 구성의 원리로서 구성주의를 제안하였다. 이러한 논의들은 도덕적 자아 구성에서 보편성과 사회문화적 맥락성을 함의하게 되는 과정과 원리들을 나타내고 있다. 본 연구는, 보편성과 사회문화적 맥락성에 근거한 도덕적 자아의 실천적 의미가, 도덕교육을 통한 도덕적 자아 형성에 중요한 방향성을 제시해 줄 것이라 기대한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

A study on a moral self or moral identity provides important implications of the integrated approach to morality by studying moral behaviors and moral actors comprehensively. Moral self or moral identity is a key concept in bridging between moral understanding and moral behavior. But, subjectivity of moral identity let us raise some questions on the meaning and the utility of the concept of moral self. The focus of this study is on the practical meaning of moral self. And also this study aims to suggest the principle of construct of moral self. Thus this study paid attention to the precise meaning of the moral integration and constructivism as the principle of construct of moral self. This discussion reveals the procedure and principle of the implication of the universality and socio-cultural context in the construct of a moral self. This study expects that a practical meaning of moral self based on the universality and socio-cultural context suggest a important direction in the construct of moral self through the moral education.
