청소년 봉사학습의 문제점과 도덕교육적 활용 방안

국문 초록 (Abstract)

5·31 교육개혁에 의해 학생 봉사학습 활동이 제도화되었으나 연구 기반 및 사회적 여건이 미비한 가운데 실시되면서 많은 문제점을 안고 있다. 학생 봉사학습 활동이 정착되려면 무엇보다도 봉사학습에 대한 이론적·경험적 근거를 체계적으로 확보하고, 진단 구조(framework)를 효과적으로 사용하면서 운영실태를 진단 및 평가하며, 활성화 방안을 지속적으로 모색해야 한다. 본 연구는 이러한 전제 하에 청소년 봉사학습을 도덕교육적 관점에서 조망하면서 봉사학습이 도덕교육적 목적을 위해 어떻게 활용될 수 있고 또한 앞으로 활용되어야 하는가를 밝히고자 한다. 이를 위해 봉사학습과 관련된 이론·경험 연구를 토대로 봉사학습의 도덕교육적 중요성을 우선 밝히고, 선행 조사연구 결과를 활용하면서 봉사학습의 적용 실태를 분석하고 도덕교육적 관점에서의 문제점을 진단한 후, 도덕교육적 개선 방안에 대해 제시하고자 한다.

There have been several problems in the process of the application of service-learning which was started as a part of 5.31 educational reform without research and fertile conditions for it's meaningful application. If it is to be wished that adolescents' service-learning has a great impact on their moral development, we need to investigate the actual conditions and problems of service-learning in a scientific and systematical way, and then explore powerful solutions. For the reason, this article attempts to show how we can and ought to use service-learning for the purpose of moral education, using previous quantitative and theoretical research.
