부부폭력 목격경험에 따른 폭력가정 자녀의 적응유연성 = The resilience of children who witnessed marital violence

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 폭력가정 자녀의 부부폭력 목격경험정도에 따른 적응정도를 파악하고, 나아가 심각한 부부폭력을 목격하더라도 적응력이 높은 적응유연적 자녀에 미친 보호요인을 검증하여 폭력가정 자녀의 적응을 돕는 효과적인 임상적 중재방안 모색의 기초자료를 제공하고자 하는데 목적이 있다. 이러한 목적 달성을 위해 중학생 416명을 대상으로 조사․분석한 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 폭력가정 자녀가 목격한 부부폭력 목격경험은 부에 의한 어머니 폭력 목격경험정도가 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 부부폭력 목격경험 자녀가 그렇지 않은 비폭력가정 자녀보다 적응에 어려움 정도가 컸다. 그러나 철회, 비행 그리고 학업성취에 있어서는 유의미한 차이가 없는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 심각한 정도의 부부폭력 목격경험이 있는 자녀의 22.02%에 해당되는 50명이 적응유연적 자녀로 나타났다. 이러한 적응유연적 집단과 부적응 집단 간의 보호요인에는 유의미한 차이가 있었고, 심각한 부부폭력을 목격하더라도 내적통제와 자아존중감이 높으면 높은 적응유연성을 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 연구결과의 함의를 기초로 폭력가정 자녀의 적응을 돕는 임상적 개입방안을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is based on the perspective that among the children who witnessed marital violence, some children show more flexibility than others. Based on this study aimed to look into the degree of their adaptability and the protective factors that influence their resilience even though their severe experience of witnessed marital violence. This study subject was 416 1st grade middle school students in Daegu.
Firstly, children who witnessed marital violence were more committed by father than mother. Secondly, different adjust problems were observed in children who witnessed marital violence. In particular, specific problems such as depression & anxiety, aggression, and social immature were noted in children who witnessed marital violence. Third, among the children who witnessed marital violence 22.02% were found to show resilience. Especially personal factor such as the self-esteem and internal locus of control was the most significant one in the determining resilient children. The implications for intervention with children as witnesses of marital violence are presented.
