한국인의 복지의식에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 = The Analysis of Factors Influencing on welfare attitudes

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to explore associated factors that influencing on welfare attitudes. The empirical literature that tries to explain attitudes toward the welfare policy basically refers four different determinant. That is self interest, value and norm, different socialization patterns, and a negative attitude of recipient. The analysis data for this study is a second data of Korea Welfare Panel Survey. The welfare attitude is measured by the question asking respondent's subjective idea on the welfare expenditure and welfare programs. The results of this study are as follows. Fist, The self-interest theory, the most influential theory among theories on welfare attitude, has a limit to explain welfare attitude of Korean. Except in the case of the disabled, Most variables on self-interest does not influence welfare attitude. Second, Ideology factor and negative recognition on the recipient have an impact on welfare attitude. In other words, People have egalitarian ideology and positive attitude on the recipient have more supportive attitude on welfare programs. Based on this analysis, this study suggested that improvement in negative recognition on the recipient and strengthening value of equality in welfare programs.
