현대 소재와 기술의 변화에 따른 텍스타일 디자인 활용 방안에 관한 연구 = A Study on Utilization Measures for Textile Design in Association with Changes in Modern Materials and Technologies

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Design of today considers materials and technologies of great significance. Instead of selecting ordinary materials and technologies in existing design, if new materials and technologies, which are suitable for the rapidly changing consumer needs and trends, are used in design, even fresher and unique products can be produced. In foreign nations’ examples, designers and developers present innovative products by reflecting these changes, employing fresh ideas, and researching into diverse materials and technologies. Thus, this study is to examine the overseas academia’s industries’ movements and materials-related exhibitions, to let domestic designers know the need to change, and to let the domestic academia and industries recognize the need to seek changes positively. Of a slew of materials and technological changes, textiles’ linkage with the most vitally researched application of electronics and electricity and special pigments, and technical crossover with other fields are examined together with the developed products in a bid to present utilization measures for the textile design. This is intended to examine the new products receiving international spotlights, to present corresponding textile design utilization measures in a bid to let designers know the importance of and research into new materials and technologies and to explore new materials and apply them to design with a view to presenting unique products in the internal markets.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

오늘날의 디자인에 있어서 소재와 기술은 큰 의미를 가지고 있다. 기존의 작업들처럼 평이한 소재와 기술을 선택하는 것에 그치지 않고, 급변하는 소비자의 요구와 시대 변화에 맞춰 새로운 소재나 기술을 디자인에 응용한다면 한층 더 새롭고 차별화 된 제품이 나올 것이다. 국외의 경우 이미 이러한 변화의 흐름을 인식하여, 디자이너들과 개발자들의 아이디어에 다양한 소재와 기술을 연구, 접목하여 과거에는 볼 수 없었던 혁신적인 디자인 제품들을 발표하고 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 먼저 국외에서 이루어지고 있는 업계와 학계의 움직임과 소재 관련 전시들을 살펴보면서, 국내 디자이너들 스스로 변화의 필요성을 인식하고, 학계와 업계 역시 적극적인 변화를 모색 필요가 있음을 알리고자 한다. 또한 수많은 소재와 기술 변화 중에서 가장 활발하게 연구가 진행되고 있는 전자, 전기의 응용, 특수 안료와의 접목과 다른 분야와의 기술적 크로스오버를 실제 개발된 제품들과 함께 분석하여 텍스타일 디자인에서의 활용 방안을 제안하고자 한다. 이는 최근 국제적으로 각광 받고 있는 새로운 제품들을 살펴보고 그에 따른 텍스타일 디자인 활용 방안을 제시함으로써, 새로운 소재와 기술이 디자인에 있어 얼마나 중요한 요소임을 디자이너 스스로 인식하여 연구하고, 국제시장의 차별화를 위해 새로운 소재를 탐구하여 디자인에 응용해보기를 제안하고자 한다.
