학습자 요구 분석을 바탕으로 한 학문 목적 한국어 교육과정 구성 방안 = A Study on the Construction Method of the Teaching Curriculum of Korean for Academic Purposes Based on the Analysis of Learners` Needs

In general, Korean language education centers annexed to the universities currently teach Korean for general purposes, but foreign students who learned Korea in the centers and entered into the university are having many difficulties due to the lack of basic Korean proficiency in order for them to achieve a scholarship. Therefore, the survey on the needs for Korean for academic purposes targeting foreign students who are being taught in the universities was conducted. The survey contents were constructed with respondents` personal matters, the reason and purpose of studying in Korea, the experiences, methods and contents of learning Korea, and the needs for the opening of Korean courses. The survey on learners` needs is required for the development of education curriculum. The study is the basic work curriculum processed ahead of actual development of education curriculum. For the growing number of foreign students, Korean training centers and universities should be connected to design the Korean education curriculum in order to improve learners` Korean proficiency and gain a scholarship in the university smoothly.
