This study aims at analyzing path of influencing factors affecting job stress and organizational commitment. This study adopted a questionnaire method in research of public employees in Busan. Data were collected from 375 members for empirical analysis. Techniques used in analyzing data were factor analysis, structural equation modeling with USREL. Defining variables to find influencing factors are through the confirmatory factor analysis. Exogenous latent variables are composed of ten sub-variables. These are: centralization, formalization, skill variety, task identity, task significance, feedback, autonomy, role ambiguity, role overlord. Endogenous latent variables are composed of two sub-variables. These are job stress and organizational commitment. This study sets up a series of hypotheses on the causality among concerned variables and tested them. According to results of analysis, most of these hypotheses are accepted and turned out to be statistically significant.
