불안하고 자신감이 부족한 중년 여성의 자기실현을 위한 모래놀이치료 적용사례연구 = A Case Study of Sandplay Therapy for Self-actualization of an Anxious Middle-aged Woman with Low Confidence

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study is to characterize a sandplay therapy case for a middle-aged woman who grew up from a wealthy family but had a difficult time after getting married to her husband from financially poor family. She has been physically weak and had little competence in child-rearing. She was experiencing fatigue from a trouble relationship with in-laws and dependence on her parents. In fact, she had worries about her health as well as acrophobia. Since she has adversity through her marriage life, she had little time being conscious of her inner unconscious, up to the point of her life. In order to find her real self at the time of middle-age, she wants to get counsel of sandplay therapy. A total of 17 sessions(16 sandplay sessions) were conducted, and she expressed her inner feelings of fear, anxiety, conflict, etc. based on trust between the therapist and the client. Being conscious of her unconscious throughout the sandplay sessions, she has a healing process. At the conclusion of sandplay therapy, she becomes to realize her true self and recover her love of family members including her parents, children, and husband. This study presents the case of middle-aged woman`s self-actualization that sandplay therapy can serve as one way for an anxious woman who is encountering a middle-aged crisis in marital life.
