The purpose of this study was to examine how the self management strategy of Taekwondo players effects on the recognized performance. Therefore, we examined how the self management strategy based on individual characteristic variables(sex, assignment, level) of the players and difference about the recognized performance and self management strategy effect on the recognized performance. The subjects were 700 of Taekwondo players (200 of high school students, 400 of university students and 100 of adults) registered on the 2008 Korea Taekwondo association and performed the questionnaires using the convenience sampling and 650 sets besides the 50 sets that were answered neglectedly are practically used for the analysis. Player`s self managing behavior questionnaire of Kim, Byungjun (2003) and mamassis & Doganis, 2004 are used for the measuring tools. If we review the result, women group has higher score than men group on life management and peculiar behavior management in self management level difference analysis according to the distinction of sex and women group has higher score than men group on train management and peculiar behavior management. As the result of self management level difference analysis, university student group has higher score than the adult on spiritual strength and interpersonal relation management and adult group has higher score on train management. If we see the level difference of self managing strategy per each of the level, the highest position of domestic country has the highest score on spiritual strength, life, peculiar behavior, interpersonal relation, body management except train management. As a result of regression analysis together with the self management was recognized performance, the cause of change that affects on the self management was recognized performance is in the order of body, spiritual power and train management. Based on this study, the development of effective program that helps the players control the self management seems required in the future.
