This study examines the effects of group discussion based on biology fairy tale books on four-year-olds' ecological perspective taking ability. Subjects are 40 four-year-olds at D kindergarten in Seoul. Children are grouped into 20 experimental group and 20 comparative one. Children's perspective taking ability are tested in pre- and post test using the story of animals. Results reveal that the group discussion based on biology fairy tale books has the effects on four-year olds' perspective taking ability and especially on the emotional perspective taking. The results suggest that the group discussion based on biology fairy tale books might be the effective biology teaching strategy to improve young children's knowledge for biology.
