천태찬 『법화삼매참의』의 정토적 특성 탐구 = The study of the Pure Land thought in 『法華三昧懺儀』 written by 天台智顗(Zhi-yi)

국문 초록 (Abstract)

  본 논문은 『법화삼매참의』의 구성과 사상적 특징, 그리고 정토염불사상과의 연관성을 고찰하였다.<BR>  서론에서는 참회문의 대략적인 발전과정과 특징, 그리고 연구의 목적을 밝혔다. 2장은 『법화삼매참의』 구성과 經論的인 典據를 고찰했다. 『법화삼매참의』는 전체 5장으로 구성되어 있으며, 『법화경』, 『관보현경』을 비롯한 많은 대승경론의 영향으로 성립된 점을 선행연구를 의거해 살펴보았다. 특징적인 것은 참회와 삼매, 계율과 선정, 참회와 염불의 일치를 儀禮化시킨 점이다. 이러한 천태의 노력은 이후 불교의례의 발전에 많은 영향을 미쳤다. 3장에선 『법화삼매참의』와 정토염불사상과의 상관성을 조명했다. 특히 4종삼매법의 상행, 반행반좌, 비행비좌삼매가 참회 내지 정토염불사상과 융합되어 『법화삼매참의』 전편에 나타나 있다. 형성과정 속에선 혜사의 안락행의와 담란의 오념문의 사상적 영향이나 사유체계의 유사성이 강하게 나타난다. 다만 천태는 이들과 달리 참회나 염불을 통해 일행삼매를 추구했다.<BR>  이상의 고찰로 담란과 기타 많은 미타정토사상가 내지 참회법의 발달은 예배, 찬탄, 止觀, 회향을 의례화시켜 불교의 발전과 불교의식의 고착화 내지 대중화에 이바지 했다는 점을 알 수 있다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

  This paper examined the composition and thought of 『法華三昧懺儀』 and its relation with the Pure Land thought(淨土思想).<BR>  In the 1st chapter, we made clear the aim of this paper and examined the process of development of 懺悔文(the penitential book) and its characters. In the 2nd chapter, we examined the composition and data of 『法華三昧懺儀』. 『法華三昧懺儀』 is composed of 5 chapters and is effected by many mahayana texts as like lotus sutra and 『觀普賢經』 etc. The ritualization of the combination of penitence(懺悔) with samadhi, and discipline with meditation(禪定), and penitence with visualizing buddha(念佛) is special character of 『法華三昧懺儀』. This effected the later development of buddhist rituals greatly. In the 3rd chapter, we focused on the relation between 『法華三昧懺儀』 and the thought of the Pure Land. There are mentioned the fusion of penitence(or the thought of the Pure Land) and 4 kinds of samadhi as like 常行(alway working), 半行半座(half working and half sitting), 非行非坐三昧(non-working and non-sitting samdhi) from cover to cover in the 『法華三昧懺儀』. 『法華三昧懺儀』 was effected strongly by 『安樂行儀』 of Hui-si(慧思) and 『五念門』 of Tan-luan(曇鸞) in the thought and the thinking system, but diffrently them, 天台智？(Zhi-yi) sought 一行三昧 through penitence and chanting(念佛).<BR>  Through above examination, we can conclude that the development of the rituals of penitence(참회) and worship before the image of Buddha etc and the thoughts the Pure Land thinkers as like Hui-si(慧思) and Tan-luan(曇鸞) etc. brought about the establishment and the popularization of buddhist rituals
