중등 예비교사의 교육실습이 ‘교육적 가치’에 미치는 영향|RISS 상세보기

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 중등교사 양성기관인 사범대학의 학생들을 대상으로 하는 4주간의 교육실습의 ‘교육적 가치’를 경험적으로 확인하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 관련 선행연구 분석 및 전문가 면담 등을 통해 교육실습의 ‘교육적 가치’를 평가하기 위한 준거로 3가지, 즉 ① 실천적 교수역량(teaching competence), ② 교직 준비도, ③ 인격적 성숙도를 설정하였다. 그리고 각각의 평가 준거를 측정하기 위해 ① 실천적 교수역량 척도, ② 교직 준비도 검사, ③ 인격적 성숙도 검사를 개발하였다. 개발한 측정 도구를 활용하여 S대학교 사범대학 학생 29명을 대상으로 교육실습 전과 후의 ‘실천적 교수역량’, ‘교직 준비도’, ‘인격적 성숙도’의 변화 정도를 측정하여, 교육실습이 교육적 가치에 미치는 영향을 검증하고자 하였다. 그 결과, 교육실습 전과 비교하여 교육실습 후에 예비교사들의 실천적 교수역량(t=3.21, p＜0.01), 교직 준비도(t=6.02, p＜0.01), 인격적 성숙도(t=5.24, p＜0.01) 모두 통계적으로 유의하게 증가하였다. 요컨대, 이 연구는 매우 제한된 범위 내에서 시행된 것이기는 하지만, 중등 예비교사의 교육실습이 교육적으로 매우 가치롭다는 것을 경험적으로 밝히고 있다.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate the educational value of teaching practicum in secondary schools. The subjects of this study were 29 pre-service teachers in College of Education at ‘S’ university. First of all, each pre-service teacher"s the first and the last classes were videotaped during the four-week teaching practicum and his/her ‘practical teaching competence’ was evaluated with those videotapes by two teaching expertises. Secondly, ‘readiness for teacher’ was measured twice before and after teaching practicum with ‘the readiness test for teacher’. Thirdly, ‘maturity in character’ was also measured twice before and after teaching practicum with ‘the maturity test in character’. Finally, paired t-test analysis were used to verify significant difference between pre and post tests. The major results of this study are summarized as follows: ① The teaching practicum improved pre-service teachers" practical teaching competence (t=3.21, p＜0.01). ② It improved pre-service teachers" readiness for teacher (t=6.02, p＜0.01). ③ It improved pre-service teachers" maturity in character (t=5.24, p＜0.01).
