국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 논문에서는 위험 요인에 노출되었음에도 불구하고 건강하게 성장한 아동들에 대한 연구결과를 토대로 이들의 발달을 긍정적으로 이끈 개인적 특징과 환경적 요인들을 고찰하였다. 역경을 극복하고 성공적으로 적응한 아동을 탄력성(resilience)이 높은 아동이라고 하는데, 탄력성은 일반적인 발달은 물론 장애 아동을 이해하고 교육하는데 매우 유용한 개념이다. 지금까지 이루어진 많은 탄력성 연구들을 통해 아동의 발달을 저해하는 위험 요인은 물론 위험 요인의 부정적인 영향을 상쇄시켜 긍정적인 발달을 촉진하는 보호 요인들이 밝혀졌다. 이에 따르면 위험 요인은 낮은 지능, 까다로운 기질, 낮은 자존감, 불리한 가정환경, 낮은 사회경제적 지위, 사회적 지원체계의 결핍 등이며, 보호 요인은 높은 지능, 긍정적인 자아감, 부모와의 안정적 관계, 올바른 양육방식, 사회적 지원의 가용성 등이다. 이와 같은 위험 요인과 보호 요인은 문제 행동에 대한 예방 프로그램 및 중재프로그램 개발을 위한 기초 자료가 된다. 이에 따라 발달 위험에 처한 아동 및 장애 아동의 탄력성을 촉진하기 위한 중재 방향과 앞으로의 연구 방향에 대해서 논의해 보았다.<주제어> 탄력성, 보호 요인, 위험 요인, 예방, 중재
