국내 영재교육 프로그램의 현황과 과제 = Current status and future prospect of gifted education programs

국문 초록 (Abstract)

  영재교육의 키워드는 단연 프로그램이다. 영재교육의 성패를 좌우하는 가장 큰 요인에는 물론 영재를 올바르게 선발하는 것도 매우 중요하지만 판별된 아동들을 위한 성공적인 영재교육이 이루어지기 위해서는 영재들을 교육하는 교사들이 효과적인 교수-학습 방법 및 교육프로그램에 대한 명제적, 절차적 지식을 갖는 것이라고 할 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 집중적으로 프로그램 관련 이슈와 문제 전망을 살펴보았다. 이 연구는 크게 세 부분으로 구성되어있다. 국내 영재교육 프로그램과 관련하여 현황을 살펴보고 문제점을 제기하였으며, 현 영재교육 프로그램에 대한 차별화 방안 및 대안의 하나로 문제 중심학습 프로그램을 제안하고 영재교육과의 관련성을 탐색하였다. 끝으로 현 영재교육 프로그램에서의 트렌드와 전망을 영재교육의 전문화, 다양화, 특성화, 개별화, 그리고 확산 측면에서 살펴봄으로써 앞으로의 방향성과 과제를 탐색하고자 하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

  Though desire of the gifted children is qualitatively different from that of normal children, it is an undesirable reality that we have not developed sufficient researches and programs in conformity with the necessary desire and demand of the gifted children. So this study is about program issues in gifted education. The present study is composed of three parts. First, current status, controversial issues, and problems related to gifted education programs are reviewed. Second, problem based learning(PBL) approach is suggested as a way to differentiate current gifted education program. Programs for gifted children in the domain of science necessitates markedly the specializations for the specific areas of the contents, the processes, and the products of studies. In an effort to provide the optimum learning experience for the gifted, this study deals with the development of pbl program and its relation to the characteristics of the gifted. Finally, issues such as specialization, diversification, differentiation, individualization, and dissemination of gifted education program are discussed in depth to seek for future prospects and directions in the area of gifted education.
