자연친화적 과학활동이 유아의 과학과정기술 능력에 미치는 영향 = Effects of children"s Ecological Science Activity on Children"s science inquiry skills

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 자연친화적 과학활동이 유아의 과학과정기술 능력에 미치는 영향에 대한 실증적 고찰을 시도하였다. 실험집단을 대상으로 자연친화적 과학활동을 실시하였고, 통제집단은 종래의 과학 프로그램을 실시하였다. 프로그램 실시 전과 후 두 집단 간 과학과정기술능력 향상 정도의 차이를 분석하였다. 그 결과 실험집단 유아의 과학 과정기술능력에 통제집단 유아에 비해 향상을 보였다. 구체적으로 실험집단이 관찰, 의사소통, 추론 및 생물 영역에서 향상 정도가 높았으며, 분류, 측정, 예상 영역에서는 두 집단간 차이가 나타나지 않았다. 이상의 결과 자연친화적 과학활동이 유아의 과학과정 기술 능력 향상에 긍정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is investigation of effects of children"s ecological science activity on children"s science inquiry skills experimentally. Subjects are assigned to two groups, experimental group receiving prepared ecological science activity and control group receiving conventional science program. Each group consisted 26 children of 5 years old. The experimental design is pre-post experimental one. The improvement of skills is defined by the increased score of post measurement score compared to pre measurement score of skills.
The test results showed that the total science inquiry skills of the experimental group demonstrate the higher improvement compared to the controlled group. Specifically, the experimental group showed more apparent improvement in observation, communication, deduction, and acknowledgement of things animate and inanimate than the controlled group. However there were no significant difference in classification, measurement and prediction.
From these results, it can be concluded that children"s ecological education has positive influence upon children"s science inquiry skills.
