인터넷 중독 척도 개발을 위한 기초 연구 = Development of Korean Internet Addiction Sc

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As the use of internet is increased recently, internet addiction is focused by many researchers. Young(1996,1999)'s internet addiction scales is used in most researches to study internet addiction. But it is noted that Young's internet addiction scales has the weakness of statistical procedure. His scales are depended on subjective case analysis. So the development of statistically objective scales is needed and the purpose of this study is to develop statistically objective, reliable and valid internet scales in Korea. Korean Internet Addiction Scales(KIAS) is consisted of 25 items which is designed to measure the constructs of internet addiction including adherence, obsessive use, tolerance/dependency, relapse, life-dysfuction. Its Cronbach's α coefficient is .87 and the correlation coefficient between KIAS and Young's scale is .75.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

최근 인터넷의 확산과 함께 인터넷 사용의 부정적인 측면에 많은 관심이 주어지고 있으며, 이런 맥락에서 국가적인 관심사로 등장한 주제가 인터넷 중독이다. 국내의 경우 1995년 이후로 인터넷 중독 관련 연구들이 활발하게 수행되어오고 있는데, 거의 대부분의 연구가 Young이 제작한 인터 넷 중독 척도에 의존하고 있다. 그러나 척도상의 문제점 때문에 연구 결과간의 차이가 크게 나타 나고 있으며, 외국의 연구에서도 Young 척도의 결함이 지적되고 있다. 따라서 우리 상황에 맞는 신뢰롭고 타당한 인터넷 중독 척도를 개발하는데 필요한 기초 자료를 제공하기 위하여 본 연구가 수행되었다. 이를 위해 인터넷 중독 개념을 정리하고 Young척도를 검토하였다. 이를 토대로 인터넷 중독의 구성요인으로서 집착, 강박적 사용, 재발, 내성 및 의존성, 그리고 생활장애를 포함시켰다. 본 연구 는 문항선정을 위한 연구와 선정된 문항의 특성을 분석하기 위한 연구로 나누어진다. 문항선정을 위한 연구에서 25개 문항이 선정되었으며, Cronbach α계수는 .87이었고, Young척도와의 상호상관 계수는 .75이었다. 척도의 특성을 분석하기 위한 연구에서는 이론적으로 정립한 구인에 따라 확인 적 요인분석을 하였고, 중독지각 준거 문항에 따른 집단 별 척도의 평균이 분석되었다.
