This study investigates the relationships between the level of satisfaction with mentors perceived by a protege and his or her organizational citizenship behaviors. We also explores the interactive effects of satisfaction with mentors and individual characteristics (personality and attitude : agreeableness and turnover intentions) in predicting that protege's organizational citizenship behaviors. In this purpose, we tested hypotheses in a sample of 266 white-collar employees from multiple industries. Results support the hypothesized main, and interactive effects. The results of the study suggest that positive mentoring experiences could trickle-down not only to the participants in mentoring relationship but also to the behaviors toward other organizational members. In addition, the impact of positive mentoring experience on OCB is stronger for less agreeable employees and for the employees with low level of turnover intention. Theoretically, this study offers insights on the effectiveness of mentoring process. This study contributes to the literature on OCB and mentoring by explaining the individual differences in the influences of satisfaction with mentors on OCB.
