교육열의 운동법칙과 결합법칙 = On The Motion Laws and The Linkage Laws of Educational Zeal in Korea

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 고는 교육열에 대한 비난을 넘어서서 입시지옥 현상이나 과열과외 현상 등과 같은 교육열
현상으로부터 법칙적인 질서를 발견하려는 노력의 일환으로서, ‘교육열의 운동법칙’과 ‘교육열의
결합법칙’에 대한 논의를 전개한다. 교육열을 동기체제로 파악하고 이러한 동기체제가 출세욕구와
교육열 생태환경(사회환경)과 어떻게 작용하고 움직이고 결합하는가를 밝히려 한다.
필자가 하고 있는 교육열에 대한 작업은 나름대로 차별성이 있다. 첫째로 기존의 연구들은 교
육열을 설명해보려는 ‘설명대상으로서의 교육열’을 다루었다면, 필자는 교육열 자체를 분석대상으
로 취급하고, 한국교육의 여러 현상에 대한 ‘설명요인으로서의 교육열’을 다루고자 한다. 둘째로,
교육열 자체와 교육열 현상과 그 밖의 환경과의 상호작용을 제대로 분석해 내려면, ‘교육열’이라는
개념 하나만으로는 개념적 도구가 매우 부족하기 때문에, 관련 개념체계를 개발하고 있다. 예를
들어, ‘교육열 기본형’, ‘교육열 초기화’, ‘교육열 현재형’ ‘교육열의 속성’, ‘교육열 생태환경’ ‘교육열
의 운동법칙’과 ‘교육열의 결합법칙’, ‘교육열 전달성’ 등의 개념을 개발하였다.
이러한 개념들을 분석도구로 하여 교육열에 대한 종합적 분석을 하나씩 전개해 가고 있다. 교
육열의 운동법칙 3가지는 한국 사회에서 출세의 의미와 깊은 관계가 있다. 그리고 교육열 운동법
칙의 하위법칙으로서 교육열의 결합구조를 분석하고 결합법칙을 3가지로 정리하였다. 이러한 분석
을 토대로 기존의 교육열 정책을 분석하고, 교육열을 어떻게 자원화 할 수 있는가를 설명하는 것
은 앞으로의 과제이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

As one of serial studies which aim to find orders and regularities of the phenomena of educational
zeal such as the hell of entrance examinations, this study focuses on the logical processes for
developing the motion laws of educational zeal and its sublaws, I.e. the linkage laws of educational
zeal.
The author does a distinguishable work on educational zeal. First, he tries to analyze educational
zeal itself, its substance, while others try to explain the phenomena of educational zeal. Second, he
tries to develop relevant concepts such as ‘prototype of educational zeal’ ‘initiation of educational
zeal’ ‘present type of educational zeal’ ‘the motion laws of educational zeal’ ‘the linkage laws of
educational zeal’ ‘the ecological environment of educational zeal’ and ‘transmission of educational
zeal.’ Third, he tries to analyze the phenomena of educational zeal mainly with those developed
concepts while others try to explain the phenomena of educational zeal with other factors.
The author finds three motion laws of educational zeal which are closely based on the idea of
‘chulse,’ I.e. ‘climbing the ladder of success’ of their sons and daughters.
1. Educational zeal moves to the educational scenes which have more influences on the status
mobility.
2. Educational zeal moves to the educational scenes which have more influences on the living
deserving of human dignity.
3. Educational zeal in each period moves to the educational scenes which have higher social
values after graduation, institutionally or customarily.
The three linkage laws which are sublaws of the motion laws of educational zeal are as follows.
1. Educational zeal primarily links with those means which are more effective in achieving
children's social success in life.
2. Educational zeal has high tendency to link with those effective means whatever the economic
burden is.
