This study reviews 83 studies on the marital satifaction which were done in korea from 1968 to June, 1990. I analyzed and evaluated research trends, research achievements and their problems.
On thebasis of this evaluaton, I suggested some methods to improve future studies on this subject. Those suggestions include valid conceptualization and measurement of the marital satisfaction, and appropriate data analysis techniques. I proposed also that systematic multirelations among many variables should be tested.
