지역사회에서 스포츠클럽 활동과 사회적 자본 형성 = The Building of Social Capital and Sport Club Participation in Rural Communities

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 지역사회에서 스포츠클럽 활동에 참가함으로써 형성되는 사회자본의 특징들이 어떻게 나타나는가를 규명하는데 목적이 있다. 지역사회에서 스포츠 클럽활동 참가는 그들만이 일상생활의 문화를 형성하며, 그러한 일상생활에서 형성되는 문화들은 다양한 사회적 자본의 특징들로 출현한다. 이 연구에서는 사회적 자본을 크게 구조적 자본(structural capital)과 인지적 자본(cognitive capital)으로 구분하여 영역화 하였다. 이러한 영역에서 각각의 범주들은 Coleman(1988), Putnam(1993) 등의 선행이론들에서 제시하는 특징적 요소와 공통적 개념과 함께 새롭게 나타나는 감응개념들에 대해 초점을 두었다. 이 연구의 목적을 위해 질적연구방법이 채택되었으며, 지역사회에 기반을 두고 활동하는 5개종목 생활체육클럽 10명의 정보제공자들을 통하여 심층면담에 의해 얻어진 자료를 분석하였다. 분석된 결과를 토대로 다음과 같은 사회적 자본의 특징들이 발견되었다. 첫째, 구조적 사회적 자본으로서는 네트워크, 공동체의식, 규범, 사회적 적응 등의 특징적 요소들이 나타났다. 둘째, 인지적 사회적 자본으로서는 동조, 정보공유의 호혜성, 신뢰 그리고 사회적 배타 등의 특징적 요소들이 나타났다.

The purpose this study was to find out the building to characteristics of social capital in rural communities. The data was collected by in-depth interviews from a sports club participants in rural communities. For a data analysis, category of main subjects, its attribute and dimension shave bee discovered through the use of a discursive analysis method. Major findings of this study are as follows: Firstly, in regard to form of structural social capital in which these network of individual or group between, sense of community, norms, and social adjustment. Secondly, in regard to form of cognitive social capital in which these conformity to the group' value, mutual benefits by joint of information, private/public trust, and the another in regard to negative social capital is socal exclusion.
