읽기 동기 신장을 위한 자기 선택적 독서 프로그램 구성 방안 = A Study on Reading Motivation Improvement Method Using Self-Selected Reading Program

The purpose of this research was to find the role of reading motivation and to discuss self-selected reading program practical application for reading motivation improvement in reading education, Self-selected reading program focused reader`s autonomy supporting reader`s self-selection of book which student reader want to read. This method contrast to suggestion of teacher`s book selection in reading education. This program have two effectiveness for improving reading motivation, First, the supporting reader`s autonomy enhance reading motivation, Second, the development of reading competence enhance directly and actually reading motivation. Basically, reader`s percived autonomy and competence have good influence in reading motivation. But we should consider variety of reading motivation factor which have intrinsic and extrinsic motivational traits. For example, we find how to use educational feedback, reward, classroom design, social interaction with teacher and student, classroom circumstance.
