음악적 창의성 증진을 위한 총체예술의 필요성과 의의 = Prospect of Artistic Integrity Promoting Musical Creativity

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 예술의 한 장르로서의 음악의 본질과 함께 빠르게 변모하는 21세기의 다양한 문화콘텐츠, 탈장르 혹은 통합으로 언급되는 예술 장르의 현격한 변화에 발맞추어 음악교육 또한 시대적인 맥락에서 재해석되고 분석, 개발되어야 한다는 입장에서 출발한다. 낭만시대에 특히 팽배했던 공감각 (싸이네스테시아)이론에 착안하여 예술 작품의 이해와 창의성개발을 연계하여 설명하고자 하는데 이를 위한 탄탄한 이론적 기반으로써 공감각 (싸이네스테시아)이론이 예술의 총체적인 특성을 이해하는 데 매우 유연함과 아울러 예술적 통일성에 기여함을 시사하고 자한다. 즉, 총체예술(혹은 예술적 통일성)과 음악교육, 창의성 계발의 연계성에 대한 이론적 근거를 제시하고자 한다.
특히 총체적인 예술 형태가 시사하는 “우리의 감각이 총체적으로 쓰이고 자극될 때, 그 감흥과 상상력을 극대화, 최대화시킬 수 있음”1)에 주안점을 두고 음악적 창의성에 접근하고자 한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study were: to examine the theory of Synesthesia in application of music education among aesthetic education; to reveal the possible patterns and ideas of synesthesia in 21st century's cultural literacy; to develop musical creativity through "Artistic Integrity" using synesthetic ideas. Synesthesia is "a sensory phenomenon in which stimulus in one sense mode is interpreted in terms appropriate to some other senses or to an associate imagery."
This investigation focused on helping students understand music as broader entity while they study associations of art works in the light of 'Total Artworks' or 'Artistic Integrity.' It is hoped that these concepts enrich creative and cognitive thinking processes in music making as an integral part of artistic training and musical sensitivity.
