생활체육과 자아실현감의 관련성에 관한 연구 = A Study on Relationship Between Leisure Sport and Self-Actualization

A purpose of this study was to search for the relationship between leisure sport participation and self-actualization. For this study, a causal model with 7 independent variables related to self-actualization was established. Independent variables were 1) parent's regard and participation frequency in leisure sport. 2) sibling's regard and participation frequency in leisure sport. 3) peer's regard and participation frequency in leisure sport. 4) perception of athletic skill level. 5) regard for mass communication on sport. 6) How much like physical education in student life(from elementary school to college). 7) participation frequency in leisure sport.
A questionnaire, composed of 7 socialization variables via sport and 84 variables in self-actualization, made up of five point in Likert style for collecting the data. Sample consisted of 380(male 195, female 185) college students resident in Seoul city. Data analisis included Pearson's correlation coefficient to mersure relationship between the 7 socialization variables vis sport and relationship between the 7 variables and self-actualization variables. "Stepwise regression mathod", to analisis for the relationship between the 7 variables and self-actualization, was used. For all data anlysis of this study, PC with SPSS system was used.
The results of this study were as follow.
First, there are high co-relationship between athletic skill level and participation in leisure sport that is the case for both males and female.
Second, there are high co-relationship between participation in leisure sport and self-actualization that is the case for male and female.
