대인관계 특성이 대인 커뮤니케이션 채널 이용에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Previous research has focused on examining how people use interpersonal media to maintain social relations. This study, however, tried to explore how relational characteristics influence the use of different interpersonal media. Surveys measuring FtF, email, blog, instant messenger, SMS, and mobile phone relations were conducted at the beginning of the semester against 57 college students taking a class together. To measure the continuity of the relations found, the second survey was conducted at the end of the semester. Results show that relational characteristics affected the choice and use of interpersonal media. The depth of the relations positively influenced SMS and mobile phone use but negatively affected messenger use. Relations communicated through instant messengers were volatile while those through blogs were well maintained until the end of the semester. Female pairs had higher tendencies to remain intact than other types of pairs.
